FOIAs: Overview and Useful Links
I will expand more on the "How to" at a later (but soon) date.
For all of those who want to help but don't know where to start, feel free to bookmark, read, learn and act using The Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”). The FOIA is a Federal law that establishes the public's right to request existing records from Federal government agencies. The FOIA is known by its legal cite as 5 U.S.C. § 552.
The FOIA provides that any person has a right, enforceable in court, to obtain access to federal agency records, except to the extent that such records (or portions of them) are protected from public disclosure by one of nine exemptions or by one of three special law enforcement record exclusions. The FOIA thus established a statutory right of public access to Executive Branch information in the Federal Government. (Source: https://www.justice.gov/oip/freedom-information-act-5-usc-552)
The power of the FOIA is amazing as it often times (but not always, mainly due to redactions) exposes candid email conversations, calendars, internal Government Office memorandums and more that the authors of these never expected to be seen by the public, in most cases. For examples of what types of impact FOIA requests can have, I encourage you to visit our friends at U.S. Right To Know (@usrighttoknow on Twitter and on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/USRightToKnow/). They have done an amazing public service by exposing the lies, disinformation and misinformation of Fauci, the CDC, and other bad actors in the U.S. Government to face the light of day and to face public scrutiny through this process.
Why does this matter? Because if your government is asking you to take an experimental vaccine, send your sons and/or daughters to war, send yourself to war, pay more taxes, and to accept their decisions, you should be informed before you agree or disagree…shouldn’t you? Yes! (Unless you are in a coma or have given up on life. Sorry, but short of this you should want and demand transparency). The FOIA process is one of the many tools that give you that power of transparency. It also can reveal to the public previously confidential documents that can now be cited in journals, objective news media, and even Grand Jury petitions (I just helped write one requesting a Grand Jury Investigation into fraud at HHS and two of its sub-agencies CDC & FDA… I’ll cover the this petitioning process and what it means in another post).
I will go into the details of the FOIA process in a future post (because today I need to get back to my “day job”!) For now, here are some links to get you started in learning about and maybe even submitting a FOIA request!)
